This full-day program approved by the IDFPR for AIREE to provide six hours of instructor development credit that may be used by:

  • Licensed Pre-License and Continuing Education Instructors who are required to complete instructor development training before their license renewal. 
  • Pre-License and Continuing Education Instructor license candidates who must complete instructor development training in connection with their initial license application.

What's in Your Toolbox?

This instructor development workshop will explore different tools that Instructors may use to uniquely present content and test for student comprehension. The attendees will learn what tools to use, how to use them, and why these valuable tools should be used by instructors. The presenters are experienced real estate educators with over 60 years of combined experience. They are known for providing valuable, practical, and engaging training.

Teaching Real Estate in the Next Decade

Mr. Barker is an experienced educator among the few instructors who currently hold the Distinguished Real Estate Instructor (DREI) designation. His presentation will provide attendees with resources and insights, based on his extensive experience in adult education, which will motivate attendees to continue the process of incremental learning throughout their careers. His presentation will include discussion of the top mistakes that instructors make (and should avoid).

License Exam Overview & What's to Come

Presented by:
Alex Ramirez, Test Development Specialist, PSI Services

Mr. Ramirez is part of the Licensure team at PSI Services, which exclusively administers the Illinois real estate licensing examinations. He will summarize the process by which PSI develops the license exam and questions, and steps taken to maintain/improve the exam over time.
 

Mortgage Market Update and Trends

Mr. Citera is a leading expert in residential mortgage finance in a constantly evolving industry. He is an experienced loan originator and instructor who has helped thousands of individuals to become licensed and thrive in their positions.
