Tax Topics for Illinois Real Estate Educators

Chris Bird is a Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP) who has been in the financial business for over 30 years, including 16 years working as a Senior IRS agent.

Chris began conducting training programs after leaving the IRS. He now delivers over 125 seminars a year on taxes, wealth building, residential rental property ownership, and tax strategies for the real estate and financial industries nationwide. He is a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker.

This presentation will provide valuable information and guidance for real estate educators, who typically employ independent contractors or personally work in that capacity. Chris will:

Discuss the most significant tax deductions, write-offs, and strategies that self employed and business owners can utilize to legally minimize federal tax liabilities.
Compare and contrast the some of the changes in federal tax laws that impact clients, consumers and real estate professionals.
Identify business changes to take advantage of the tax law amendments over the past 4 years.
